Shawn Jordan is a heavyweight fighter competing for the WSOF and formerly for UFC and Strikeforce. He normally competes at superheavyweight.

Strikeforce[]

He most recently replaced an injured Lavar Johnson on three days' notice in his Strikeforce debut against Devin Cole. The fight came one week after Jordan defeated another fighter. Cole defeated Jordan via a hard-fought unanimous decision.

Jordan soon signed to face Lavar Johnson, the fighter he had replaced against Cole. He defeated Johnson via second-round keylock submission.

UFC[]

After the victory, Jordan signed to make his UFC debut against fellow newcomer Oli Thompson. After an exciting fight, Jordan knocked Thompson out in the second round.

Jordan next stepped in to replace legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira against hard-hitting veteran Cheick Kongo. Kongo defeated Jordan via a boring unanimous decision. The fight was incredibly boring.

Jordan next faced veteran Mike Russow, earning an upset second round technical knockout.

Jordan next faced kickboxer and friend Pat Barry knocking him out quickly in the first round.

Jordan next signed to fight veteran Gabriel Gonzaga. Gonzaga knocked Jordan out in the first round.

Jordan next signed in January 2014 to fight TUF veteran Matt Mitrione at the start of March 2014 in China. Mitrione defeated Jordan via knockout with a second left in the first round.

Jordan next rattled off a streak of three (T)KOs in a row: Jack May in the third round, Jared Cannonier in the first round and a rematch with Derrick Lewis ended with Jordan KOing Lewis with a high hook kick forty-eight seconds into the second round. Jordan earned Performance of the Night bonuses for the last two victories.

Jordan then fought Ruslan Magomedov losing a tepid unanimous decision. The fight was the last on Jordan's UFC contract and he opted not to accept the UFC's offer to resign him, citing low pay.

WSOF[]

After testing free agency for about a year Jordan signed with the World Series of Fighting promotion, eventually making his debut against the aging veteran (and unfortunately named) Ashley Gooch. Jordan dominated Gooch TKOing him towards the end of the first round.

With the Gooch win Jordan received a shot at WSOF heavyweight champion Blagoi Ivanov.
