Phillipe Nover is a retired featherweight and lightweight fighter. He was a finalist on the eighth season of The Ultimate Fighter. He is perhaps most well known for the short-lived, unfortunate stint in the UFC that followed his time on the show. He was cut from the promotion's roster after three back-to-back losses to Efrain Escudero in the finals, then Kyle Bradley and finally Rob Emerson. Since that loss in early 2010, Nover stated in November of that year that he has been focusing more on his career as a 'male nurse'.

Bellator[]

Nover most recently returned when he made his Bellator debut against fellow newcomer, 19-year-old Marcin Held. Held defeated Nover via controversial split decision.

He next fought Derrick Kennington in Bellator choking Kennington out cold with a rear-naked choke submission near the end of the second round.

Nover then faced Tony Martin outside of Bellator losing via majority decision, and he then faced Darrell Horcher in his Bellator return handing Horcher his first loss via a close unanimous decision.

Nover next fought two bouts in Ring of Combat defeating Matt Santiago and Dan Cion via unanimous decision and second round rear-naked choke submission respectively.

Back to the UFC[]

Nover then made his return to the UFC defeating Yui Chul Nam via unanimous decision before unfortunately dropping three straight losses to Zubaira Tukhugov, Renan Barao and Rick Glenn via split, unanimous and split decisions respectively.

After the Glenn loss and with his record standing at a miserable 11-8-1, Nover announced his retirement from mixed martial arts in February 2017.
