He most recently made his UFC debut at bantamweight against Mike Easton losing a majority decision after an exciting fight. He next faced Dustin Pague losing via first round rear-naked choke submission.
Papazian then dropped to flyweight to fight rival Tim Elliott, losing a bloody and dominant unanimous decision for his third straight loss.
Papazian received a final shot in the Octagon in Japan against Yasuhiro Urushitani in a clear loser-leaves-town matchup. Instead both Papazian and Urushitani were cut from the UFC in January 2013.

Papazian next fought Terrion Ware winning a unanimous decision. He then faced Brandon Bender. He lost to Bender via a first round rear-naked choke submission.
Papazian next fought John Robles winning a unanimous decision before then defeating Jeff Martin via first round TKO.
Papazian then faced Russell Doane for the vacant TPF bantamweight title losing via a brutal fourth round knockout. He next fought Ara Muradyan winning via unanimous decision.
